In the coastal village of Jericoacoara, in northern Ceará, the Tadu Arquitetura studio designed one of the most unique hotel projects in the region: Villa Mandi. With only seven rooms and a boutique concept, the hotel offers an intimate experience deeply connected to nature and local culture.
Under the direction of Tadu’s architects, the project sought to translate the essence of caiçara architecture into a contemporary, sophisticated, and sensory proposal.

The challenge
Designing a seaside hotel in one of Brazil’s most characteristic and windy biomes posed technical and functional challenges. The strong winds that hit the building for much of the day required solutions that would ensure thermal comfort and protection from the elements without compromising integration with the surrounding landscape.

The architectural solution
The team designed Villa Mandi based on three fundamental principles: contemplation of the landscape, respect for local culture, and environmental comfort. To achieve this, they used natural materials such as wood and sandy tones, creating an organic and sensitive aesthetic.
The interior and exterior areas interact with each other, with spaces protected from the wind and open areas that enhance the sea view. Decorative elements—such as accessories and handicrafts—were carefully selected from different regions of the Northeast, reinforcing the local and authentic character of the work.
The choice to go with HYLINE
The decision to use HYLINE systems came naturally during the window frame selection phase. According to the architects, “the slimness of the profiles and the exceptional sealing were decisive factors.” Even in strong winds, HYLINE frames guarantee total watertightness and acoustic comfort, without any rattling.
In addition to technical performance, the clean look of the profiles helped reinforce the sense of continuity between interior and exterior, maintaining the visual connection with the sea and nature, in line with the project’s principles.

Architect’s testimony
“A good design adapts to the location. It allows for a contemplative experience of the landscape and protects from the elements. Choosing HYLINE elevated the result, both in terms of the guest experience and the technical rigor of the complex.
At Tadu, we believe that architecture can be a gentle break from routine. We analyze, preserve, and redefine. Thinking about tomorrow means knowing how to do a lot with less.
Solid partnerships with brands like HYLINE add precision and sophistication. The supplier’s technical reliability is directly reflected in the end customer’s experience.”

Villa Mandi is more than just a hotel. It is a place where the architecture respects the context, values local identity, and provides unique experiences for visitors.
The integration of HYLINE systems was decisive in achieving this balance between beauty, comfort, and performance. In a project where every detail counts, the subtlety of the frames and technical excellence contributed to making this boutique hotel a true sensory retreat by the sea.
